Agricultural Buildings by CDH Construction

Farm buildings have to stand up to stock, machinery and weather. We build agricultural buildings and the groundworks around them: the foundations for the frame, the floor slab, concrete aprons and yards, and the drainage that keeps clean and dirty water apart.

Our office is in Newport, in the middle of arable and livestock country between the Wolds and the Humberhead Levels, and farm work has been part of the business from the start. We work around harvest, housing and turnout so that the building is ready when the farm needs it.

Frequently asked questions

Do you build the shed as well as the groundworks?

Yes. We can deliver the complete building, including the frame, cladding and floor, or carry out the groundworks and concrete for a frame supplied by others.

Can you lay a floor under an existing canopy or building?

Yes. We lay new slabs inside and under existing buildings, working around the stanchions and tying in to the existing levels.

Do you build equestrian arenas?

Yes. We carry out the excavation, drainage, stone base and perimeter for arenas, along with any foundations for associated buildings.

Can the work be timed around the farming year?

Yes. We agree the programme with you in advance so that the work fits around harvest and the housing of stock.
