Attenuation Pond and Drainage
An attenuation pond with headwalls, large diameter pipework and chambers.

About the project
This project covered the surface water drainage for a new development, including an attenuation pond to store water during heavy rain.
The pond was excavated, shaped and lined with geotextile, with a headwall at each end. Large diameter concrete and twin wall pipes were laid in supported trenches on a gravel bed and set to gradient with a pipe laser, and precast chambers were built along the runs. The estate road was kerbed as the drainage was completed.
